Happy Valentine's Day!

Anyone who has ANY bit of romanticism should love Valentine’s Day. I love hearing the stories about what people plan to do for their special someone. I also find it interesting to see the reactions of folks who either forget or don’t take much interest in doing something. It makes me wonder about the state of their relationship.

At any rate, for this year (2013), I decided to modify my activity from last year. Last year, I bought my wife a nice, mushy card but I like to do other little things. So, I also bought a bag of Hershey’s kisses with almonds (one of her favorites) and I hid pairs of kisses in “strategic” places all over the house so that she would periodically find them as she walked around. Of course, some were in obvious places and some were not so obvious. This year, I did the same thing but with each pair of kisses, I added a note that had a statement about why I love her. There was an introductory note that says “14 Days and 14 Ways to Say ‘I Love You’!“ It became challenging when I got to #14 and I still had 2 or 3 more things I wanted to say.

Last year, I place a WHOLE BAG of kisses around the house and my wife (bless her heart) ATE ALL SHE FOUND (her and the grandson). Needless to say, by the end of the day, she wasn’t feeling all too romantic – but she LOVED the gesture!! This year, I didn’t put out a whole bag and one of my notes read “I love it that you have the WILLPOWER and DETERMINATION to do anything you set your mind to do!” – Then I put it on the bag containing the rest of the kisses!! (We’ll see if I’m right!)

Happy Valentine’s Day to you and yours!!  Tell what YOU did (or what you received) for Valentine's Day!
